Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, on Friday, November 16, 2018, Lt. Col. J.D. ‘Don’ Copland CD (Ret’d), passed away in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor Copland for 62 years. Loving Dad of Eileen (Fred) Stanbury, Heather (Tom) Slater, John Copland and Robert Copland. Cherished Grandpa of Jenna, Mikhael, Calaigh, Natasha, Robbie, Sammi and Ethan, and proud Great Grandpa of Deanna. Also loved by his sisters: Joyce Strople and Bonnie (Art) Funnell; and his brother Malcolm. Predeceased by his sister Jean Sole. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., with a Legion service under the auspices of Lambeth Legion No. 501 RCL at 6:45 p.m., at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where Don’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario would be appreciated.
