On Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Victoria Hospital, Madeleine Greenwood, of London, in her 80th year passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Bill for 50 years. Cherished mother of Ann Greenwood (Amanda), Lynn Greenwood (Lisa) and Peter Greenwood. Proud Grandma of Kate and Tyler. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her friends and family. Madeleine was a registered ER nurse and had many hobbies including gardening, gourmet cooking and woodcarving. She was also a professional dog breeder which resulted in several international champion Sealyham Terriers. A celebration of Madeleine’s life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Madeleine are asked to consider their charity of choice.

Petey, So sorry for your Mom's passing. Since the day I met you so many years ago, you have always talked about your Mom & Dad with pure pride & admiration. So many funny great stories, I sure wish I had a chance to meet your Mom. You & your Dad have been a pillar of strength through this difficult time. What a team! Reflect on all the great times and funny stories. Most importantly I felt it through your stories that without a doubt your Mom knows you loved being her son.
Dearest Madeleine - To you my wonderful aunt but above all my friend, your departure leaves me a great void. You have had my admiration since my childhood for your beauty, inner and outer, your sweetness, your boundless curiosity, your vivacity of mind and your many talents. It is with sadness to learn the passing of my sister Madeleine. We grew closer and closer as we aged and the love of cars was our favorite subject. I will miss her very much but never forget our childhood. I am offering you Bill and the children my deepest sympathy.

We were close friends, our visit in Chatham and London was always memorable with good laugh and good food, she was such a good hostess and we were always welcomed in her house .
