Manfred Werner Goldschmidt

Passed suddenly at home, on Thursday, April 6, 2023, in his 86^th year. Beloved husband of Louise Goldschmidt (née Serabian) for 57 years. Deeply loved and mourned by brother-in-law Harry Serbian; “big sister” Gerda Marsh; nieces and nephews Mara, Susan, Mark, Harry, and Patricia; and godchildren Raphael and Natasha. Predeceased by his parents Frederich and Klara Goldschmidt and his brother Günther Goldschmidt.

Born in Karlsruhe, Germany.  Manfred was a cook and Chef Manager at the London Psychiatric Hospital for 35 years. He spent a long and happy retirement traveling, cottaging, and living well. He was a very friendly and happy person with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by not only his family but his fishing and hunting “buddies and stumpftisch friends.” A special thank you to Dr. Grace Szczerbowski and staff Marina and Tanya for Manfred’s excellent care. We had him a little longer because of her.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Manfred are asked to consider a charity of your choice.
