Margaret Isabella McLean (née Finleon)

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Margaret McLean peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after a long courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, November 3, 2019, in her 72nd year. Survived by her devoted and loving husband Ray, of 53 years. Loving mother of Melinda and Edward. Proud Grandma of Brandi and Ray Robbins, Ashley Finch, Shannen McLean-Ballentyne (Jeremy), and Makenzie McLean. Great-Grandma of Hudson, Avery, and Quinn Ballentyne. Also survived by her brother-in-law Alex (Eileen) McLean and sister-in-law Jean Douglas; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Isabella Finleon; her brothers: Tom, Jim, John and Alex; her sisters: Mary Austin, Marlene, and Marjorie; and brothers-in-law Bill Douglas and Eldon Austin. Margaret’s family would like to express a special ‘thank you’ to Dr. Kirk Hamilton and Dr. Ed Stack of the Palliative Care Community Team. An extra special ‘thank you’ to VON PSW Tina Reali and nurse Ruth Saunders for all their compassionate care and support. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where a funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Alvinston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Margaret are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.
