It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Margaret Lillias Parsons (née Munroe), of London, Ontario on Saturday, February 6, 2021. A country girl at heart, she was born in 1924 on the family farm in Ekfrid Township. She was predeceased by her father Duncan, mother Wilhelmina (née Mawhinney), and her brother Blair Campbell Munroe. She is survived by her four children: Gail Parsons, Lynda Klaassen, Brian Parsons (Irene) and Cory Haystead (Mike). She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Meagan Klaassen (Alex Cook), Eric Klaassen, Larissa Vafiades (Nick), Christina Parsons, Dane Haystead (Jessica) and Zachary Haystead; and her great-grandchildren: Stuart and Siri Cook, Kalliope and James Vafiades. Margaret enjoyed a long career with 3M Canada here in London. She was an avid golfer and a good artist known for her quilts, which she created for herself, family, and friends. A private funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, and interment followed at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Margaret are asked to consider Diabetes Canada or Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Centre.

I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I enjoyed playing computer games with her and also her sense of humour. She was a lovely woman.
