It is with tremendous sadness that Dave, Steve, Alison, Danielle and Mads announce the death of their beloved Marnie on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017. No wife, mother, sister, or aunt could have been more loved or will be more missed. Cherished wife of Dave. Loving mother of Steve (Danielle), and Alison. Dear sister of Bob, Doug and Gwen. Her journey through this terrible disease was a difficult and painful one but she carried with her friendships from childhood, elementary and high school, university, almost 35 years at 3M, and cherished neighbours on Meridene Crescent in London. Marnie also enjoyed numerous rounds of golf (sometimes good, sometimes bad) at Sunningdale and Heritage Palms in Fort Myers. Cremation has taken place. As per Marnie’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral ceremony. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 at Sunningdale Golf and Country Club, 465 Sunningdale Road West, London, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with remarks at 3:00 p.m. Dress is casual. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marnie are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Centre.

Marnie was one of the most sincere, honest and loving people I have ever known. Even when facing the inevitable, she did so with grace, charm and a sense of humour which touched all of her friends and family. She was loved, and her memory will continue to inspire. Marnie had that smile that made everything right at work. My days at 3M were made more pleasant. Im back in the UK and have been since 1982. I return every year to see my family in Brantford. The last time I saw Marnie was in Cleveland on my way to London,Ont. She was still smilling all those years later. She will be a sad miss to all who knew her.
