Suddenly passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, Marguerite Gail Murray Dahl, at the age of 79. Former wife of Robert Dahl. Loving mother of Tamara Dahl-Liljegren (Fredrik) and Kevin Dahl (Jill). Adored grandmother of Abby and Emily Dahl, and loving sister of Shelley Hunt.
Gail as everyone knew her was always busy spoiling her grandchildren or cooking for her family and others. A master Pierogi maker, Gail was happiest in the kitchen making bountiful feasts or volunteering at the local food bank and kitchens. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed her lunch and movie dates with her friends.
Cremation will take place on Monday, August 8, 2022, preceded by an online service for family and friends all over North America at 1:00 p.m. EST. Logging in to the service will be available starting at 12:45 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time for family and friends to gather and enjoy stories about Gail. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gail are asked to donate to either of Gail’s wishes at the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Society of Canada.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. Gail was the first person I met when I moved into our apartment building. She was always so welcoming and kind. We spent made a time visiting back and forth or having a quick chat in the hall. She will be missed by all her friends here.

Gail always had a chipper welcome for me, her neighbour from across the hall. She was generous to collect donations for the folks at the Hospitality Centre, where she served the people, for years. I can still hear her voice, expecting to see her, and coaching her devilish kitty to come back into the apartment. She is dearly missed, and her down-to-earth perspective on life will stay with me.
