Marian Elizabeth (née Remark) Priamo

June 8, 2021

Surrounded by loving family, Marian left this world peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in her 63rd year, to be embraced by her Lord, Jesus, and by His Blessed Mother, Mary. Her husband, Mark, the love of her life for almost 40 years, accompanied her with tender love throughout her illness. Together they raised a wonderful family: children, John and Mandy, David and Alyse, and Mary and Brandon Peneycad. Her grandchildren, Harrison and Lillianne, Julianna and Luke were Marian’s constant joy and delight.

Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Rita (Clifford) Remark. She is deeply missed by her siblings: Cliff and Louise, Rev. Bob, Gerry and Dee, Paul and Brenda, and Ilene; and many nieces and nephews.

Marian loved her profession as a nutrition assistant at LHSC and managed with enthusiasm in the salad bar at Remark Fresh Markets, where her relationships with staff and customers were vital and life-giving. Marian was a woman of deep and living faith, an active member of her parish, and a wonderful role model.

Marian’s departure leaves a hole in the lives of all who have been a part of her journey: family members, friends and co-workers, too many to name. We thank all who have made such a difference in her life. A special thanks goes out to her faith models and supports on the journey, including, Sr. Mary Diesbourg, C.S.J., Sr. Eileen Mary Walsh, R.P.B., and Sr. Mary Ellen Kenny, O.S.U. The family is ever grateful for the compassionate and excellent care offered by the health care professionals who have supported Marian over the past four and one-half years in confronting the devastating disease of cancer.

A private (invitation only) Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Roman Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, Ontario, on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. The liturgy will be livestreamed and can be viewed using this link: >Livestream for the Funeral Mass of Marian Priamo on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

There will be no visitation. A private family interment will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marian are asked to consider the Sisters of the Precious Blood. Donations can be mailed to 301 Ramsey Road, London, Ontario, N6G 1N7.

Mark and family--Please accept our most sincere condolences on the passing of Marian, one of the most loving and genuine people on Earth. Our friendship spanned over 50 years, from high school to university years and to the present. Throughout the years, I was very blessed to have been part of so many memorable occasions with the Remark family--one of the kindest and most welcoming families. Marian met Mark in those early university years and while I was somewhat hesitant to share my dear friend with Mark she assured me that he was her soulmate and would be there for her "for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health". And Mark has always been her Rock. My heart breaks for the entire Remark and Priamo families' but knowing that she is no longer suffering and in the Lord's hands makes her passing a little easier. Marian, thank you for being a part of my life and for leaving me with so many cherished memories etched in my heart forever. And yes...I hope you will enjoy great food and wine in heaven!!! Rest in eternal peace my dear friend.

~ Lilly & Dennis Reive

Thank you Marian for giving me the opportunity to start my job at Remark. I will miss her smile and contagious laughter. May she rest in peace - my deepest condolences to her loved ones.

No eye has seen, nor ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him. 1Cor 2:9. Our sincerest condolences to you Mark, John, Dave, Mary and families. Saying goodbye to Marian is heartbreaking. She was a bright light in many people's lives. Her smile was contagious, genuine and can never be forgotten. May there be comfort in knowing that someone as loved as Marian will always be remembered. We cherish our time with her and the memories we share. "There is nothing that is invincible for a soul as spirited as you, yet you bowed down to death to honour God and his Will" (Aurhor unknown). Rest in Peace our beautiful friend. Until we meet again❤

Mark, John, Dave, Mary and families, we were so very sorry to hear of Marian's passing. We've known the family a long time and it was always so nice to catch up after Mass or at Remark's. Marian was so positive throughout life in general and especially during her cancer battle. She made sure to mention how the grandchildren brightened her days and how Mark was always by her side. Someone else mentioned that Marian was such a "class act". Truer words were never spoken - such a loving and faith-filled woman. We've been praying for Marian for a long while. We'll continue to pray for the family. Our best wishes in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
