Marion ‘Isabelle’ (Andison) Channer
September 15, 2020
In peace on the morning of Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Victoria campus of LHSC, in her 91st year. Isabelle was one of 14 children with 11 children of her own, so this might be a long read. Bear with me. Beloved wife of the late Beverly George Channer (1976). After 11 kids, you would think so! Much loved mother of the Channer Boys & Mary. In order from earliest to latest, Blaine (Sandy), Darcy (2004) (Marie), Peter (Trudy), Jeff, John (Marijo), Mark (Carol), Danny (Rose), Joel (1961), Mary (1999) (Paul Foster), Richard and Philip. Don’t feel bad about Mary, she always, always gave better than she got. 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Whew! At 5 foot nothing and 95 pounds soaking wet, Isabelle was the strongest person, pound for pound, we’ve ever known. Dear sister of Ruby Dilts. Predeceased by her brothers William, Clinton, and Kenneth Andison, and her sisters Irene Greason, Gertie Agar, Alice Wilkinson, Helen Smith, Verna Thornton, Marjorie Taliana, Thelma Pleiter, Ruth Dutton, and Margaret Thornton. Isabelle was an aunt to over 60 nieces and nephews on both sides of her family. Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral or memorial service, as per Isabelle’s wishes. A celebration of Isabelle’s life will be held whenever the current pandemic is over. We will see you all there! As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ovarian Cancer Department at the London Regional Cancer Program, 747 Base Line Road East, London, ON, N6C 2R6, would be appreciated.
“Always in our hearts.”

What a lovely tribute to Aunt Isabelle! I was sad to hear of her passing and am thinking of all my Channer cousins as you cope with your loss. I'm already looking forward to the celebration of her life, though. I'm sure you'll do her proud!
Our sincere condolences to the entire Channer Family May the wonderful memories live on
My sincere condolences to the family.
Peter and Trudy so sorry to read about a Peters mom. She sounds like an amazing woman. Losing a mom at any age is heartbreaking.
Think of you all in this sad time.
Channer Family, May we offer our deepest condolences in the loss of your mother. We remember when you lived in the house near the bog on Oxford Street West in Oakridge Park. John still keeps in touch with some of the brothers. Blain, that was a very fine obituary tribute you wrote. Sincerely, John and Florence Brendon
Thank you grandma for all that you gave. I will always cherish the times we had together and talked on the phone for hours. I will miss talking about gardning, canning, and the ups and down of life. Your time to rest grandma. Love you.
We have such fond memories of your mom. Sending over our love to you all.
