Peacefully, on Friday, February 22nd, 2013, at Middlesex Terrace, Delaware, Mrs. Marion Koranda (née Adkin), in her 95th year. Loving mother of Kim and Kathleen (Mark), and mother-in-law of Celia. Dear grandmother of Ian (Stephanie), Richard and Tanya and several great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters-in-law Marjorie and Ellen, and loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Elvin and Myrtle Adkin, her son Keith, her daughter Karen, her grandson Michael, and by her siblings Thelma (Borden), Bruce, Kenneth and Lyle (Simone). Marion served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps (2nd Lieutenant). She was a registered nurse, a volunteer missionary, a pianist, an avid reader and a world traveler, but Marion took her greatest pleasure in the role of mother and grandmother. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Dresden Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marion may be made to Gideons International in Canada.

Kim, I have only now discovered this notice of your mother's passing. She was so kind to me on my trip through Ontario 46 years ago. I never forgot her kindness, nor your friendship through college.
