Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Strathroy General Hospital on Thursday, October 1, 2015, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Walter Pitt and the late Robert Wood (2000). Predeceased by her son David Thomas Wood (1994). Loving mother-in-law of Karen Wood, grandmother of Christina Wood-Horton (Chris) and great-grandmother of Dayden Horton. Loved aunt of Debra Farquhar (Grant) and Judi Johnston. Dear step-mother of David, Catherine (2014) and Don. Mary was a loving and gracious woman who enjoyed singing in church choirs and performing in musical theatre. Heaven has a new angel in its choir. A memorial service will be held at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, 1344 Commissioners Road West, on Friday, October 9 at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mary are asked to consider St. Anne’s Anglican Church or the charity of their choice.
