Mary Ruth Govan passed away quietly with her daughter, Kathy, by her side on June 23, 2025, at Elmwood Place, London. Predeceased by her husband Brian Govan, December 2, 2021. Ruth is survived by her daughter Kathy Underwood, brother Ross Eddie, brother-in-law Victor Govan, and his wife Shirley. Many nieces and nephews; grandchildren Devon Govan and Laura Camara; great-grandchildren Aria, Prestyn, Elena, Jayden, and also her special friend Ann Tillman.
Ruth had a special sense of humour, making everyone smile. Ruth and Brian co-owned Restaurant Equipment together for over 55 years. After retirement they enjoyed their trips to Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Chartwell on Riverside London, Elmwood Place in London. There will be no funeral service at Ruth’s request. In memory of Ruth she asked everyone to consider donating to arfontariodonate@gmail.com. ARF rescued her much-loved Nicky Kitty.
