Peacefully, on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the age of 93. Born on May 13, 1925. Beloved wife of the late Bill Bontje (1990). Cherished mother of Deborah Lynch (Mark), Monique Bontje and Paul Bontje (Valerie). Loving grandmother of Carlotta, Madison, Curtis, Christopher, Adam, Bazil and Liam. Predeceased by her beautiful daughter Michelle Massingham (Gary). Thildy had a loving, generous and fun spirit. Her love for life and family shone through everything she did. Her feisty and passionate nature will be deeply missed. A celebration of Thildy’s life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Private family inurnment at St. Peter’s Cemetery at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Thildy are asked to consider the McCormick Care Foundation.

We all lost a good one with the passing of Thildy. The stories of her days as a translator, the heroism of her parents, and her joyful and understanding way of looking at life will be remembered by all those who loved her. There will be some good vintage wine consumed in the celebration of her life! Hugs to Monique and the entire family.
