Suddenly at his home, in Port Coquitlam, BC, on Friday, February 15, 2019, at the age of 34. Beloved son of Leon and Barbara Mylemans.  Loved by his sister Michelle and brother Christopher (Sherri). Loving uncle of Bailey, Nathan and Grayson. Dear grandson of William and Greta Starr of Hamilton. Fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Bill, his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his grandparents, Florent and Julia Mylemans. Matthew will be sadly missed by his special friend Jess, and his longtime canine companion Kahlua. A memorial reception to celebrate Matthew’s life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with remembrances at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wellspring London and Region would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Barb and Leon. Our condolences from me and Natacha on the loss of Matthew. I see him sitting on Praktica, Natacha's Horse in 2005, To tall for the horse but having lots of fun. Eating a "Matino" sandwich in Antwerp, he told me it was so good. Eating Braetwurst in Germany's Moesel Valley. Running between the German vinyards, riding the bike in Heist Goor and Schriek. Remember the good person and son he was.

I worked with Matt at Western Canada Marine Response Corporation. Matt was a kind and gentle man, who will be remembered for his unequaled contributions to the design and construction of 8 separate classes of vessels.
