Matthew Scott Bennett
January 25, 2014
Of London, suddenly at University Hospital on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 in his 30th year. Beloved son of Earl and Heather Bennett. Dear brother of Jeffery and his wife Jaci, and Sheena and her husband Mike Raimondo. Lovingly remembered by his niece and nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. Matthew graduated from Fanshawe College in 2009 from their Graphic Design program. Despite his disability, he inspired all who knew him with his optimism and determination. He had an amazing sense of humour, an endearing smile, loved music and being with his friends and family, always finding the best in everyone he met. He was indeed one of the “Angels among us”. The memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior. In memory of Matthew, donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or University Hospital (c/o the London Health Sciences Foundation) would be greatly appreciated by the family.

We have always been impressed with Matt's ability to enjoy life despite his disabilities. An outlook on life, due in part to an always supportive family. He will be missed.

Life can never prepare you for the loss of a child. You will always have your wonderful memories of Matt.
We will always remember Matt for his great smile & sense of humour. We will miss you, Einstein.
I have fond memories of Matt. He was a pleasure to work with. Matthew was always determined to reach his goals, with a real sense of humour. We laughed over a lot of things. (his own hick ups, at himself trying to talk with his new braces on) Matthew was blessed to have Heather and Earl for parents. And.....he always spoke so highly of Jeff. He was also proud of his sister Sheena. Matthew, you taught me to be positive and gracious.....in spite of life's obstacles.
