Suddenly, with her husband by her side at University Hospital on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014, Melissa Murdy of London at the age of 37. Loving wife of Chris and cherished Mommy of Kayla. Dear daughter of Nancy and the late David Dashford and daughter-in-law of Michael and Elizabeth Murdy. Loving sister of Rebecca Dashford and sister-in-law of Jeff and Jillian Murdy. Special aunt of Jacob, Isabelle and Spencer. Will also be sadly missed by uncle Richard Harrison. Predeceased by her grandparents Arthur and Shirley Harrison and Bill and Hilda Dashford. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Centre or the Parkwood Hospital Rehabilitation Fund would be appreciated.

I would like to express my condolences to Nancy and Kayla. I am so sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to be apart of her life, and I will always miss her.

Nancy,I felt like I knew a little about your remarkable daughter from our chats together even though we had never met.She certainly was a brave and courageous woman.I know she will continue to look over you and hope you get some comfort in knowing she is at peace now and her suffering is behind her.She will always be in your heart and it's ok to talk to her.You are in my thoughts and prayers.
My heart goes out to this family who have been through so much over the years. Melissa was one of the most courageous people I have known - the strength that she possessed - the battles she fought - a true inspiration.
