Michael Bernreiter

Peacefully passed away at age 92 on Saturday, May 10, 2014 with family at his side. Predeceased by Hazel, his wife of 64 years. He leaves behind three daughters Alana (Craig) Kinzelman, Gwen (Dave) Moffatt, Glenna (Wayne) Grimmer and grandchildren Joseph Kinzelman and Amanda Grimmer. Michael will be fondly remembered for his integrity and great sense of humour, love for reading, golf, fishing and shuffleboard, creativity with wood projects and landscaping talents. He and Hazel enjoyed travel and many winters in their Florida home. We would like to thank the people at Longworth Retirement – Nursing, Reception, Housekeeping, Dining, Maintenance, Recreation staff, and the friends he made and enjoyed there.  You all made his stay a happy one! A BIG thank you to the Victoria Hospital Emergency and Palliative team for your loving care and medical expertise. Hats off to “Dr. Dan” Leger whom Dad couldn’t speak more highly about and thought you were a truly wonderful man! We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
