We are very sorry to hear about your father's passing. We know you loved him a lot and that he will be missed a lot as well. Our thoughts are with you.
We always remember Mike as a lot of fun with his dry sense of humour and how he kept us laughing many times, especially at the cottage. My thoughts to all the cousins who were lucky to have Mike in their life. Plant some veggies in his memory as he always liked to show off his little garden. Cousin Lynn Thomas Hanley Nova Scotia
I only knew Mike (Sir Fenik to you!) from my days in the early 70's at Medway. He of the ubiquitous white lab coat, the constant smile, and always a kind word for everyone. Mike, however, had a much longer history with our family, having taken my parents in as renters when they first landed in this country from Germany. As luck would have it, Mike and my dad ended up meeting again, and teaching together at Medway in the 70's and 80's until retirement. It's a small world after all. Condolences to the family, and let us all continue to have fond memories of a wonderful man.
Theresa, so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. It was good to see you last week and I hope you are coping as well as can be expected through such difficult times. Please call if you need anything. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Love Elizabeth / Desmond
Allison, I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's death. We had many conversations about him at Axa. My sincere condolences to you and your family at this sad time.
I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the family of Mike Fenik We were on staff together at Medway H.S. for many years. Unfortunately, I didn't get to know him very well but I will always remember how friendly and gentlemanly he was when we met in the halls. May many happy memories sustain you through these difficult days.
Theresa, I am so sorry to hear of your loss... My heart goes out to you and your family. May Gods grace give you comfort.
Sir Fenik, indeed ,will always be remembered as a real class act ....only in Mike's case it was no act . He was just Mike to me , a fine gentleman with insights and a keen sense of humour . His humanity stood out as well as his warmth to all he embraced . I trust your many great memories will sustain you in the days ahead .

Sincere sympathies to the family. I ran into Mr. Fenik often at Holy Family Parish. Mr. Fenik was a favourite teacher of mine at Medway, where he referred to himself jokingly as Sir Fenik. Rest in peace, Sir Fenik.
