Passed away peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the age of 73. Mike is survived by his beloved daughter Jacqueline Lucille Jaques; granddaughters: Priscilla Aline Gemmell, Brittany Rose Clergy, and Faith Emily McDade; great-grandson, Caleb Crixis Clergy; and his life-long best friend, Mike (Gail) Garrett. Predeceased by wife Jeanette Lucille Lenehan (née Pease); son Michael Omar Jacques; and brother Pat Thompson. Mike enjoyed his visits from friends and neighbours; and was referred to as the Mayor of Strand Street. His loving daughter and grandchildren, who referred to him as their Grumpy Care Bear, were his whole world. He stayed strong with his sense of humour until the end when he lost his battle with prostate cancer. He will always be remembered and greatly missed. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. jacqui. We are so very sorry of the loss of your Father. Many great memories of Mike ..Faith's greatest soccer fan! . It was always a pleasure to chat with Mike at the side lines. He will be greatly missed by all. Heaven has gained another angel.
Jacqui and family , your loss is made more profound as we realize the central role Mike played in your family. The void left by those who love us well is healed on with the memories they helped us create
I was saddened to hear about Mike's passing. He sure will be missed. His strength and determination will carry on through those who knew him best.
