Peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, October 12, 2026, Michelle Walsh passed away at the age of 58. Loving wife of Robert Walsh for 32 years. Cherished mother of Simon, Thomas, Benjamin and Samuel. Predeceased by her parents Johannes and Ann Van Bommel. Daughter-in-law of the late Mary and Bob Walsh. Sister of Marianne (Peter) Lovenjak, John (Kathy) Van Bommel, Margret (Chris) Haskell. Sister-in-law of Jimmy (Rosina) McGlynn, Tommy (Sylvia) McGlynn, Mary (the late Dave) Sutcliffe, John (Cathy) Walsh, Karen (the late Joe) Spoto, Michael (Angela) Hammond, and predeceased by both Davey and Carol McGlynn. Michelle will forever be in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Michelle enjoyed her four sons and had a special bond with each of them. For two years, a daily 20-minute drive to and from college with Simon was time well spent. Preparing special occasion meals with Tommy was a treat. Watching endless “Spongebob Squarepants,” “Super Mario,” or “Shaun the Sheep” DVDs with Ben kept her smiling. Reading Dr. Seuss, “Pete the Cat” books, or completing a puzzle with Sam – always enjoyable.
Spending time with all the boys at once was important, too. Whether it be a visit to the drive-in movies, Storybook Gardens, or McDonald’s Play Place – she loved it all.
Enjoying quiet time with Robert was cherished, too. Friday night was their special night to watch “Heartbeat,” an English drama. Funny how Michelle picked up on the slang and even used it around the house from time to time.
Alone time was often spent quietly reading a paperback book or doing a favourite pastime, Word Search.
Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John the Divine Parish, 390 Base Line Road West, London on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, London.
