Michelle Louise Dozois

August 18, 2021

Went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021. Beloved mom to Rachel Leyland (Josh) and Joshua Dozois; loving daughter to Bernice Cass; and sister to Laura Cass (Steve Hill), Glen Cass and Catherine Cass. Predeceased by her father, Richard Cass. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, friends who are like family, and many friends, colleagues and former students and parents in Thames Valley. Michelle was a wonderfully kind and warm woman who shone her light wherever she went, and brought joy, comfort and a practical helping hand in so many situations. Her life held many adventures and she enjoyed a variety of activities; from making music, playing board games, soccer, painting, gardening, and cooking, while caring for others through them all. Her career life spanned many different areas from the business world to domestic life as a homemaker to an administrative secretary in the Thames Valley District School Board. The role that brought her the most joy was her role as a mother to her children, although she loved all children and she touched many lives in schools and in her church life. The world was definitely a brighter place with her in it, and these few words hardly do justice to the beauty that was Michelle. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Heartfelt thanks goes to Dr. Karin Hahn, Jill Ross and the team at the LHSC – London Regional Cancer Program and the staff of 7th-floor Oncology for their wonderful care. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Michelle are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society (Lobular Breast Cancer Research) or Forest Cliff Camp.

My sincerest condolences Joshua , Rachel and Josh. Your mother , Michelle was a wonderful woman and all those who knew her were the better for it. She was such an inspiration in so many ways, not the least of which was raising two amazing and loving children. My heart is with you. ❤️

Rachel, Joshua and all of Michelle's family, I am so deeply saddened for your loss. There are no adequate words to describe the woman that Michelle was other than to say that she was a beautiful woman of God. Rachel and Josh, she often said that her proudest accomplishment in life was the raising of the two of you. Michelle left an indelible mark on my life and the lives of everyone she touched. Prayers and love to you.

To Michelle's Family, It seems like I have prayed for Michelle for such a long time. A tribute to what a fighter she was. We are never ready to lose a Mom, but we must consider the great time she is having now. You will see her again. Carol Simmons, Westview Baptist Church
