It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Westgarth, just a few short days after her 44th birthday. She will be missed by her parents Gary and Deanne Westgarth and brother Geoff and his wife Kerri. Michelle led a full life with her dog Abby by her side. She was an avid nature lover; often taking solo canoe trips in Algonquin Park. Michelle initially was given a three-month prognosis and fought a courageous battle against cancer for 2 years, whilst still enjoying many happy moments surrounded by family, friends, and beautiful places. We will share more about Michelle’s journey at her Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation to follow from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. A livestream of the service is available for those unable to attend in person.

We are so sorry to learn that you have lost your precious daughter Michelle.
I didn't know you personally, only for a few short months on Instagram. During my stay 7 weeks ago in the hospital where I had brain surgery, your brave and heroic fight helped me a lot to get through my problems. You were a hero and forever will be. You will forever be in my memories and prayers. R.I.P. Michelle
Your spirit will always be remembered with fond affection Michelle. Thank you for blessing gnus with your unique presence.

Michelle was to me an incredible inspiration for all of us that followed her journey on FB she was real raw authentic and I would say she was a earth Angel here to help so many of us get a clearer understanding of this world of cancer 💔 how we will have to learn to be our own advocate as she shared how she had to fight and find ways to help herself 🙏🏻 warrior soul and a gift to so many of us ❤️🙏🏻 Bless

Michelle so courageously braved her battle. She showed us all what is possible. Even in the shadow of her strength there is a deep sadness. My sympathies for your loss.
