Mike Golinowski

June 19, 2016

With great sadness, the family of Mike Golinowski announce his passing at his home on Sunday, June 19th, 2016, in his 83rd year. Predeceased by his wife Marcy (2004). Mike leaves behind his three daughters; Debbie Burke (Chris), Shannon Reed (Kelly) and Jody Golinowski (Rock). Also survived by his sister, Elsie Lafleur. Loving Gedo to Alison, Kayne, Samson, Candice, Lindsay, Christopher, Michael and Valerie as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Mike’s true passion was evident in his years of hockey as both a strong player and mentor to his grandsons. He played until he was no longer able to. His family finds great comfort in knowing he is now lacing up his skates without pain, with Marcy at his side cheering him on. Anyone who knew Mike will remember him as a warm, kind-hearted man whose contagious smile and witty humour brought joy to all around him. Special thank you to Paramed and CCAC for their loving care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Private family interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mike are asked to consider the Salvation Army or Parkinson Society Canada.

You can so see the beautiful eyes and smile in each of you children. May you gather and share memories that are always there on your hearts when you need them. Like always, whenever my family was in the room, he took great care to ask each of us what we were up to. Ruby, Meagan, Rhys , and Molly.
