I will truly miss my best friend for over 51 years. I have peace knowing that she is free of pain and in a better place. We spent many hours together sharing meals, shopping experiences and trying to set the world straight with our political discussions. She is one of the most knowledgeable people that I have ever known and she taught me so much. She exudes such a kind and compassionate spirit and always had a great sense of humour. She was always there for me during difficult times and would always share her amazing hot biscuits and coffee. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends forever, Pat

Your dear Mother and Grandmother was to me 'Mrs. Sheltad' for the many years that I waited on her at the Sherwood Forest Library. We shared some common reading interests and I considered her a 'kindred spirit'. After I left the Sherwood Forest branch for the Central and then Stoney Creek locations, we kept in touch by card/letter and she often routed a tin of home-made cookies and chocolates to me via the kind staff at the Sherwood Branch. We lost touch somewhere in between last Christmas and the Christmas before and then I retired from LPL and I had a feeling that she may have passed away. I felt very blessed to have known this wonderful lady, with her ready smile and her very keen intelligence and deep spirituality. My sincere (although rather late) condolences to all of her loved ones. Jacqui Denomme
