Norman Douglas ‘Doug’ Kirk

Suddenly at home on Thursday, September 30th, 2021 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Maureen (née Porter) (2007) of 52 years. Loving father of Scott (Ann), Brian, James (Kathy), Robert (Karen), and Deborah Moniz (George). Deeply missed by his twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Brother to Robert (Joan) and brother-in-law to Tony Stacpoole. Predeceased by his parents, Norman and Edna; his sister, Bonnie; brother, David; and sister-in-law, Marla. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Doug was avid golfer, wood-worker and carver, card player, and reader. Former employee of the Public Utilities Commission. Visitation to be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Registration will be required to attend the visitation. Private interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Celebration of Life to occur at a later date.

We will always remember Doug's great sense of humour, his honesty and welcoming warmth. The video at the funeral and all the albums and pictures showed what a full, happy and adventurous life he had with the love and support of his family and friends. He will be missed. My heart breaks for all the Kirks over this sudden and so very sad loss. You are in my thoughts and I'm sending huge hugs to you all. <3 Doug was a cool customer and I have fond memories of him. I love how much of a family man he was and he set a great example for his children. I now he will be missed by all. My deepest condolences <3
