Patricia “Pat” Rose Draper
September 18, 2016
Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Donald Draper. Cherished mother of Michael Draper (Barb), Scott Draper, Alice Draper (Dr. Charles Hall), Christopher Draper (Lesley) and James Draper. Caring sister of Eileen Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, and David Johnson (Karen). Proud Grandma of Marley, Caylee, Jackson and Catton. Pat was born in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England on July 18th, 1942. She is predeceased by her parents Grace (Caviness) (2016) and James Johnson (1982) and by her sister Rosemary Johnson (2010). She will be dearly missed by many friends and her extended family. Pat was a well-loved elementary school teacher starting her career at Manor and Highland Park Public School in 1961 and retiring as kindergarten teacher at Mountsfield Public School in 2005. Pat had a lifelong love for her faith and served as a leader and teacher in many facets of the LDS church. With a great love for children, she was a surrogate mom and gramma to many. In retirement, Pat served as an exemplary tutor for the Scottish Rite Dyslexia program and as Director of the London Family History Center. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 1139 Riverside Drive, London, where the memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service at the church. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment of ashes will be at Woodland Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pat are asked to consider the KidsAbility Foundation (Guelph) or their charity of choice.

Our deepest sympathy to you and your family Alice, Chuck and Jackson. Love and cherish those close to you at this sad time.
Our condolences to the family. Pat used to babysit our girls from time to time after school. She had a very gentle way about her. Hoping that the happy memories will overshadow your sadness.

Mike & Barb Our sincere condolences to you and Barb, our thoughts are with you.
Our deepest condolences to the Draper Family at such a sad time. We had the joy of having Mrs. Draper as our kindergarten teacher at Mountsfield for all three of our children for 6 consecutive years. I worked in her classroom as a volunteer during that time, and have never forgotten her love, patience, kindness, humour, and grace. Mrs. Draper taught me a lot about parenting, and supported me when I was caring for my elderly parents. My children still remember songs that they sang, activities they enjoyed, and the happiness they always felt in Pat's classroom. She was a truly wonderful soul, and will always be in your hearts, and many others, forever.
Scott, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. So sorry for your loss.
Don, Condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. I clearly remember being part of the Primary choir that sang at your wedding at the Baseline Road chapel so many years ago. Our prayers are with all of you that you might feel the love of the Lord and the comfort of His Spirit in the days ahead. Steve
My sincere condolences to you & your family Scott- may memories bring you comfort .
I am so sorry for this loss to your family. No matter the circumstances you are never ready. No preparation, no expectation can prepare you for the hurt and profound feeling of loss. Although I didn't have the opportunity to meet Pat Draper, I was grateful to her. I a knew what a terrific person she must have been and is reflected in her daughter Alice.; who I consider a gift in my life. They say times heals, I don't think so, but it does help. There will be a time when memories will bring a smile and not a tear.
Donald and family, We are saddened at the passing of Pat, but happy that she is no longer suffering. Pat was and is a powerful influence in our lives and the lives of our family. She was always serving others and coming up with unconventional solutions to complex problems. Paulette enjoyed serving with Pat in various R.S. callings and was blessed to be her companion in Visiting Teaching and having Pat as a faithful Visiting Teacher. She owes her love of creating greeting cards to Pat. May our Heavenly Father bless and comfort each one of you as you adjust to not having Pat present in your everyday lives and as you look forward to a glorious reunion in the eternities. Hugs. Richard & Paulette Jenkinson

Dear Scott, Tony and I are so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. Our thoughts are with you!
I was only around Pat for about 5 years, but every time we've met since it has been joyful. I love her gentle ways and how she was always thinking of others (me, in my case). As equally as all will miss her here I hope that heaven has joy receiving her.
Sorry to hear about Pat's passing. She was one of my favourite teachers. We shared our interest in genealogy too. Don, your family and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Gail and Bob
