Pauline Constance L. (Dickin) Stanley

May 28, 2019

Peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Country Terrace Nursing Home, Komoka, with her family by her side, Pauline Stanley, formerly of London and Galt, left us to be reunited with her fun-loving husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Stanley (2011).  Pauline was the eldest daughter of Ernest & Isabel Dickin of Galt, sister to Jimmy, Marion & David, all predeceased.  Cherished Mom of Nancy & Neil Ebel of Redcliff, Alberta, James “Gregory” Stanley, Janet & Mike Leblanc, and Colleen & Iaan Spence, all of London. Cherished Grandma & Nannie of Matt & Connie Stanley, Maighen & Cailena Stanley, Kyle & Amber Leblanc, Brittany & Samantha Thompson. Great Grandma to wee William “Liam” Stanley.  Lovingly remembered by Trudy Stokman.  We are sure Mom is already visiting with her two dear friends Betty Sarson & Marie Wyborn.

Mom was the best baker of homemade pies & butter tarts and made the best buckwheat pancakes. She loved to read, listen to country music and always enjoyed a Timmies coffee & boston cream donut.  Mom & Dad enjoyed many hours on their back patio relaxing, bird watching & Sunday breakfast was their favourite.

The family would like to give their heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful staff at Country Terrace Nursing home where Mom has lived for the past 10 years.  We would also like to thank Dr. Whynot for all his exceptional care & kindness.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pauline are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.
