Peter Frederick Joseph (Jr.) Perry
November 21, 2020
Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 21, 2020, surrounded by his family and friends, in both presence and prayers, at the age of 38, after a brave battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Michelle Marcus Perry. Survived by his father Peter J. Perry and stepmother Barbara J. Perry; his mother Donelda Jane Riley and stepfather Dan Riley. Loving brother of Rose Cora Perry (Tyler Randall); stepbrother of Jason Begley (Emily), Luke Begley (Dana), and Tim Begley. Proud uncle of Elianna, Brennan, Theo, Teagan, Hunter, Emma, Jack, Maverick, and D’Angelo. Dear son-in-law of Moni and Kai Marcus; and brother-in-law of Michael Marcus (Carolina). Cherished nephew of Marianne Perry (Bud), Barbara Perry (Nick), Randy Butcher (Brenda), John Beighton (Kelly), Joanne Overton (Mark), Campbell Seeber, Grace Cottle and Fern Becker. Missed by his cousins: Allison Seeber (Richard), Joseph Seeber (Heather), Randi Butcher (Andrew), Mitchell Butcher, Margaret Beighton, Emily Whalen, Morgan Overton, David Cottle; and by his many extended family members and friends.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Pete will remember him as an intelligent, sweet, sensitive and fun-loving man who was big on family and tradition. His positivity, strength, kindness and courage – even in the face of adversity – will no doubt inspire others for years to come. Countless photos of him enjoying time on the lake at the cottage with his dear friends like Everett and his family, point to his deep love of fishing; the favourite shared hobby of his father. He and his sister were bound together by a passion and talent for music and guitar playing, with numerous debates on which bands rocked the hardest. His good friend Barry also shared the same passion for music with Pete. Michelle and Pete enjoyed being out in nature, taking peaceful walks, and partaking in team sports like curling. Pete had some incredible athletic accomplishments, such as bench pressing 365 Ibs at a body weight of 170 Ibs and also repping out 235 Ibs 29 times. Also, Pete accomplished a first degree black belt in goju-ryu karate along with his sister Rose. Hitting the slopes with his family was his favourite winter sport. He dreamed big like his parents and accomplished much in his short time with us, including becoming a professional in not one but two trades: a plumber and a gas fitter. Pete also loved animals and was the proud pet parent of several pups and fish as both a child and adult. While his spirit is now up in heaven, his memory will live on forever. We love you Pete. Thank you for all the incredible ways in which you touched our lives.
A private Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. George Roman Catholic Church, London on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11:00 am. Livestream will be available at sgtvlondon.ca. You will be missed bud. Condolences to the entire Perry family. From all of us here at R & B Airtech.
Dear Pete, I never had the honour to meet you in person but I know your parents and beloved sister. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and your life is a glowing example of that. You are accomplished, active, fun loving and kind. The most important things to you are family and friends, even furry and fishy ones. My knowledge of your family shows me that by both nature and nurture you are a reflection of them all. I know how deeply proud they are of you, how deeply they love you and how deeply they miss you. I am so glad that they had 38 years to share with you and vice versa. However I know that they and others who knew and loved you would give anything for another 38 years with you... and then 38 years more after that. As a friend of mine said at his father's passing, "it's not where you go, it's where you stay". Although I believe it's important where we go after this life, it's equally important where we stay. Pete, you stay. You stay in the love, respect, admiration and joyous memories of your family, friends and community. You left a legacy of staying in the best place of all... their hearts, minds and souls. Praying for strength and peace for all who knew and loved you, -kelly smith
