Peter Hay

Our dear Uncle Peter passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in his 98^th year.  Predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Jane Young (2017).  Predeceased by his sisters Margaret Hodges, Isabella Macleod and Elizabeth Cooper, and his nephew Gregg Hodges.  Loving uncle to Barb and John Farr, John Hodges (Eleanor), Blair Hodges (Lisa), Sharon Hodges, and Bill and Rob Macleod of North Carolina.  Dearly missed by his good friends of 52 years, Angela and Jim Leishman, and all of the Jane’s Family in Scotland and Australia. Also missed by his many great-nieces and nephews and their families.

If one is measured by the legacy he leaves behind, Peter would get top marks for his commitment to the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, and over 25 years of delivering for Meals on Wheels, and many other charitable organizations.

Peter was an avid Barbershopper, singing in many prestigious quartets over the years, including Ontario Champions, The Par Four in 1964.

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.  For those unable to attend the service, it will be livestreamed.
