I am sorry to learn of Phyl's death. She was a friend and occasionally a mentor to me when she worked at the Middlesex London District Health Unit. She regularly said she would come and volunteer for me at the Thames Valley Placement Coordination Service when she retired, and , bless her heart, she did so for many years after a short break from working. She was a kind ,cheerful and generous soul who coped well with whatever life handed her. I am a TGH grad also and we used to joke that TGH grads were prepared for anything. My heart goes out to her family because it doesn't matter old the person is or how much the loss may have been expected, the pain is the same.

My prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time.

Phyllis has been such a large part of my life for the last few years. There will be a large gap. I thank her and you, her family, for letting me participate in those years. I'll remember her introspection, her stories about her family (!), her sense of humour, her pleasure in your family gatherings........... And I will take joy in remembering her beautiful smile. Love, Cathie
