Raymond (Ray) Leonard McNally

May 31, 1945 - January 11, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond (Ray) Leonard McNally, on Jan 11, 2026.   Born May 31, 1945 in Liverpool, England.  He is survived by his former spouse, Patricia McNally; his son Sean McNally and daughter-in-law Jennifer Izawa; his son Chris McNally and daughter-in-law Melissa Steen. He was the proud grandfather to Emiko, Akira, Ewan, and Leyton. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Leonard McNally and Hilda Toland (née Griffith).

Ray was a man whose patience, kindness, and gift for connection left a mark on everyone he met.

A proud alumnus of J.L. Forster High School in Windsor, Wayne State University (Electrical Engineering) in Michigan, and Cerritos College in California, Ray possessed a forward-thinking mind and a relentless work ethic. His early career saw him at Crowley’s in Detroit during the historic 1968 riots, and later, he became a pioneer in the tech world with “Phone Power” (Bell), selling the concept of teleconferencing long before it became a household staple. Ray eventually channeled his expertise into real estate.

His professional legacy was defined by his leadership and advocacy. Ray served as the President of the London Property Management Association (LPMA) from 1987 to 1989. He was a firm believer in the power of community, dedicating himself to supporting fellow landlords and fostering professional bonds that evolved into lifelong friendships.

To know Ray was to have a friend. Whether he was spending summers at the cottage in Grand Bend, enjoying the traditions of Lumina Resort in the Muskokas, or escaping the cold as a snowbird in Florida, Ray moved through the world with a “fun, likeable, and respectful” energy. He was famously patient—perhaps one of the most patient people you would ever meet.

In keeping with Ray’s sociable nature, a celebration of his life will be held at a future date, where friends and family can gather to share stories, laughter, and memories of a life exceptionally well-lived.
