Reginald Bernardo
March 25, 2014
Peacefully passed at University Hospital on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Margaret “Peg” Bernardo. Loving father of Janet, Albert (Anne), Cindy (Saro), Gina (Alberto), Kimberly (Chris) and Mary Ann. Predeceased by his cherished son Jon Paul. Dear grandfather of Geoffrey, Stephanie, Danielle, Lydia, Jonpaul and Debbie and great-grandfather of Hailey, Francesca and Noah. Survived by his sister Rita (Jim), brothers Serge (Marie) and Jerry (Monica) and sister-in-law Jeanette. Predeceased by his beloved brother Aldo. Sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Mary and Patricia McInnis, by his brother-in-law Robert McInnis and by his extended family. Reg had a wonderful, mischievous sense of humor and a penchant for being the subject of countless stories which will live on. He had an incredible ability to harbour a vast amount of information on any subject and was happy to share that knowledge. He was like a walking encyclopedia. He was so full of life, eager to be part of everything and was. A force to be reckoned with, he is on to his next adventure. His inspirational presence will be missed at Classic Granite and Marble. For those of us who must say goodbye now, we are comforted to know that his and our wonderful memories will remain with us forever. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, London, on Monday, March 31st, 2014 at 11 a.m. Memorial visitation will follow at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, March 31st, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Reg are asked to consider University Hospital (c/o London Health Sciences Foundation).

To the entire Bernardo Family I was very saddened when hearing the news that he had passed away and just learned of this today. I have known Reg since the late 80’s and worked for him on many of his projects over the years and had only the greatest admiration and respect for him as a man and an employer. He will be greatly missed by many that had the opportunity to have known him. My Sincere condolences
Dear Peggy: It has been so many years since we've seen each other but I have fond memories of both of you. Reg's obituary mentions his sense of humour and his fun loving nature and I can easily call to mind his smiling face and twinkling eyes. His good natured manner was like a magnet on all the people around him. I'm thinking of you Peg and send sincere sympathy and love. God bless, Maryellen
I would like to extend my sympathies to all my cousins at this sad time. Be brave, be strong, you are all in my prayers.
We are very saddened to hear of Uncle Reg's passing and wish the entire extended Bernardo family our deepest sympathies and condolences during this difficult time. Nothing we can say will ease your pain and loss but everyone of you are in our thoughts and prayers. May the passing of time teach us all how each loss brings families together and allow the healing process to begin. God bless you all. Paula and David Kwan, Catherine, Jessica and Samantha Hirtle-Kwan
I have known Reg for many years and I will always remember him as a man who loved to live life to the fullest. We should all be so lucky to leave this world with such a loving family by our side. May you find comfort in all of your happiest memories. My deepest condolences to Peg and the rest of the family.
Doug Hepburn Although a few years have past since seeing Reg I am forever reflecting on his jokes, and stories, and his tips & tricks of the trade. His ability to tell the origin of a slab of marble just by looking at the grain was amazing. My condolences to his family. Doug (ex Greco Tile employee)
Dear Peggy and family, we are thinking of you at this time and offer our deepest sympathy. We hope you can find comfort in the many memories of Reg.
Dearest Peggy and the entire family, My very deep sympathy on the loss of your family patriarch. He was a great force and one who will never be forgotten. Driving in his big truck or sitting around the cottage camp fire, he wanted to be a part of it all.....and all the wonderful memories. Jamie
We offer our deepest condolences to the Bernardo family. We hope that you find comfort in loving memories.

Kim, Cindy, Gina, and Albert, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your father. I've had the pleasure to know your dad for over 20 years and I always enjoyed stopping in at the shop and talking to him. He always treated me with fairness and respect and was a joy to work with, he will be greatly missed. May the peace of God be with you all at this difficult time of your lives.
