Remembering Marilyn as a down to earth, caring person. I can hear her saying Speak kind words...hear kind echoes. Marilyn always had a smile and you knew that she was genuinely interested in your wellbeing. Our sympathy is extended to her friends and family. Doug and Jessie Beattie ...St. Andrews Westminster United Church
I first met Marilyn in SLR classes and also enjoyed coffee and interesting conversations with her at Cherryhill Mall. She was always welcoming and will be missed. My condolences to her family and friends.
Rev Marilyn Carter was a kind gentle woman, smart & a great sense of humour. Our community & congregation of Thames Road-Elimville were better for having her as part of our church community. She married our older daughter & son in law, baptized some babies....helped us thru some tough times. Marilyn bought one of our black lab pups "Annie" for her parents .....we often heard stories of Annie and her strong relationship to both her parents Be happy Marilyn, you deserve it...Love the Millers
My deepest condolences to Marilyn's family. I met Marilyn in 2012 when we took the same course and we became friends. She was an avid reader and a very interesting person to know. She had a very kind heart and cared deeply for people She was a gentle soul and no doubt will be greatly missed by many.
My deepest condolences to the family of Rev. Marilyn a.k.a Mutt to me. I am six feet tall and she used to say I was the Jeff to her Mutt. She always had a way of making me smile, and made going to service so enjoyable. I loved seeing her every Sunday and just smiling and joking around with her and always getting my hug 🤗 such a wonderful woman that will be missed by all that knew her. May you rest in peace and I'm sending you all my love "Mutt" xo
Deepest sympathies to Rev. Marilyn's family. I have known Marilyn since the 80s when she ministered to our congregation in Collingwood. She also led our little youth group "Faith Force" then. her kindness and friendship will always be remembered.
The passing of a colleague is always a time to reflect on one's own mortality. Although we did not know Marilyn very well we were aware of the impact she has made on the lives of many of her congregants. We extend to her family and friends the hope that Easter always brings to those who grieve the death of a loved one. (Rev) Keith and Lydia Rameshwar
Our deepest condolences to Rev Carter's family. Marilyn was a wonderful person and minister. May your fond memories carry you through the days ahead.
Marilyn lived a simple life, but, in her view, it was always ample. She was ever humble, gracious, integral, and compassionate. She was valued and cherished by every congregation she served. For several years, she was my spiritual director. Now, she has drawn her own angel card, the card of "Release". May she know perpetual joy and blessing in her life in eternity. -- Rev. Harry Disher
I have such fond memories of Rev. Marilyn, she was such a sweetheart I will miss her, and Mount Zion's family is missing her also. We had plenty of laughs over brunches, and good visits at my home. My deepest condolences to the family. God bless
Our deepest condolences to Rev Marilyn's family and friends. We were blessed at Westminster to have known Marilyn's parents, Norman & Mary who were members of Westminster. Marilyn would visit us and has preached for us and we valued her compassion, graciouness and deep caring for people. May the fond memories live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her . Peace from the Westminster Church Family Mississauga.

We were so fortunate to have had Marilyn as our Minister at Arva United Church. Marilyn was a very kind and caring person. For many of us, she was not only our Minister but became a dear friend.
Rev. Marilyn married my husband and I in 2007. She was minister at my family's church, Littlewood, in the early 90's and I was so happy that she could take part in our wedding day. She will be dearly missed!
All my sympathies, and ,despite the pain and the emptiness, be courageous, because our Lord Jesus will eliminate our last enemy "death" 1 Corinthians 15:26. For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because he is the Son of man. 28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life,.. john 5 « With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Revelation 21 Sincere condolences
Marilyn was a friend and it was with sadness I heard she had passed away. I will always remember her as a caring and loving person; may she now be at peace. Vicky S.

I have met Marilyn more than 17 years ago I believe when she came to our l'Arche community as a faithful and faith filled friend and dedicated a volunteer. She walked faithfully with a friend in community very Friday morning for many years and joined our spirituality commission, she led us in worship. she was part of us . I met Marilyn last Fall when she took the "Let's Talk About Death & Dying" course we offered at SLR (Society for Learning in Retirement). She was a great asset to the class, spoke her own mind, and endeared us by telling us some of her story, and particularly how she was ministering to those in need. We had absolutely no idea that she wouldn't continue living for years. We are so very sorry to lose her. Blessings to the family.
From the first time I met Marilyn, which was over coffee at the Cherryhill Village Mall, I knew I had met a very special lady. Her kindness and cheerful outlook set her apart. We became friends, sharing many coffees, lunches and good conversations. God bless you, Marilyn! I hope we will meet again some day. My condolences to all of Marilyn's family for their loss.
On behalf of my children and myself we are so sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing. Marilyn treated us all like family while she was at Arva United Church and after her retirement. It was always a pleasure to have Marilyn send us a note just to say hi. The Elston's John, Kristen, Amanda and James.
The congregation of Thames Road Elimville United Church, located near Exeter, ON, extends its sincere sympathy to Reverend Marilyn's family. Big in spirit, small in stature, Reverend Marilyn guided our church family for several years during a time of transition, when our two small rural congregations were blended into one. Her leadership, compassion, and sense of humour will not soon be forgotten. Our blended congregation will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2022. Over the years we were blessed to have several return visits from Reverend Marilyn, and to this day her name is often fondly remembered in our conversations. Sadly for all of us, her presence at our anniversary celebrations will be in spirit only. Rest in peace Good and Faithful Servant.
We are so saddened to hear that Marilyn has passed. She was a good friend and a constant companion for coffee following church on Sunday morning. We will miss her.
