Caroline, Emily and Nathaniel, my thoughts go out to you in these troubling times. Richard was a special type of person, one you don't see many of these days. He always had a smile on his face, even in the toughest of times, and would always put others first. He spoke fondly of his family, and could not have been prouder of them. He will be missed by not only his family and close friends, but the extended community throughout the city. Again, my thoughts will be with you in the coming weeks. I only hope you have many fond memories of Richard, as we do, because they will help comfort you in your times of sorrow.

Dear, Caroline, Emily and Nathaniel, I am a cousin of Richard's through Tante Alie, and would like to express my heartfelt sorrow at the passing of Richard. Its been many years since I have seen Richard, but time passed does not lessen the sadness I feel. I will always remember Richard as the kind, caring, thoughtful and witty person that he was, and I know he will be missed dearly by each of you, and by his family, friends and coworkers. Although I will be unable to attend services at the chapel or church, as I live in Vancouver, Richard's passing fills my every thought and prayer. Although I do not know each of you, you are in my thoughts and prayers, and I will be with you in spirit as you grief your loss and commemorate Richard's Life. May God Bless each of you and give you strength, comfort and hope as you carry on without your dear husband and father. With love and sorrow, Maynard
