Rita DeGelder

Peacefully but unexpectedly on Friday, July 8^th, 2016, at Victoria Hospital, in her 85^th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter John DeGelder, Sr. (2015).  Loving mother of Arthur (Gerry) DeGelder, Judi (Brian) Ginty, Jack (Kathy) DeGelder and Peter DeGelder (Susan Elliott).  Dear sister of Jenny VanEgmond, Bob (Betty) Vanderstelt, Arie (Tini) Vanderstelt and Wilma (John) Mantel. Dear sister-in-law of Jenny Vanderstelt, Jack (An) De Gelder, Hetty (Jelle) Veenendaal, Joop Anker and Mary DeGelder.  Also loved by her grandchildren:  Kelly (Jason) Bartsch, Charlotte (Al) Shirley, Stephanie (Jared) Gelderman, Bernadette Mueller, Sharon Barron, Alex DeGelder (Renee), Evan DeGelder (Gemma), Grace DeGelder, Katie DeGelder (Monica), Abby DeGelder, Claire Elliott (Mike) and Megan Elliott; and by her great-grandchildren:  Madison, Payton, Aubrey, Emily, Anna, Kyle (Meagan), Alicia (Adam), Alexis (David) and Hunter. Survived and missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Tony Vanderstelt and brother-in-law Peter VanEgmond. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ashwood Manor for their kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, July 16^th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Rita are asked to consider Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre or a charity of your choice.
