Passed away peacefully at McCormick Home on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017 in his 81st year after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved husband of Beth. Loving brother of Richard (Shirley) and Mary Ann Blumson (George), brother-in-law of Lorna Bate (Larry) and Morley Facey (Mary Lou). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Dirk and Antonia Pietersma, sisters Barbara Gibb (Bob) and Patricia Pietersma. Bob worked at the Northern Telecom Plant in London for many years. Special thanks to the staff at McCormick Home, especially Oak Avenue for their wonderful care of Bob. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider the McCormick Care Foundation or the London Humane Society.
