I would like to express my sincerest condolences to Smokey's family. I had the privilege and pleasure of serving on OPSEU's Executive Board with Smokey during the mid-nineties. Smokey's affable nature and sense of humour along with his skill and experience went a long way to making my term a memorable and enjoyable experience . I will remember him fondly.

I was very saddened to hear about Smokey's passing. Smokey was one of a kind, and I admired his frankness, honesty and wonderful sense of humour.
