Peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, surrounded by his family, at University Hospital, on Saturday, January 24, 2015, in his 81st year.  Beloved husband for 61 years of Velda (née Agar).  Wonderful, loving Dad of Karen (Dwight) Honsinger, Doug (Dianna), Kim (Paul) Trudgeon, Rob (Peg Nicholson), Greg, and Ron (Shauna Vance).  Proud Opa to Jennifer (Rob), Sheryl (Dan), Tommy (Loretta), Andrew (Sarah), Julie (Bruce), Robert (Cheryl), Natalie (Aaron), Nathan, Matthew, Branden, Jacob (Montana), Zachary, Victoria, Nathan, Michael, Megan, and great-Opa of Katherine, Karina, Wesley, Peter, Samuel, Decklynd and Preslee.  Dear brother of Don (Marion), Bill (Pat) and Beverley Anne Salton-St. John (Keith), and brother-in-law of Marlene Bennett and Beverly (Rev. Maury) Blair.  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by infant son Robert Douglas (1957), and by parents Rev. Douglas (1989) and Marjorie (1999) Salton.  Doug and his brothers formed the Gospel singing group “The Salton Brothers” in 1958.  Doug was a committed life-long member of LGT Family Church.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the funeral service being conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment at Woodland Cemetery.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Doug are asked to consider Mission Services of London.

I have fond memories of the time spend in London and Port Stanley with The Salton clan, who made me feel like I had a second family, and "Bob Sr." (As I called him) was instrumental in making me feel welcomed.
