Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Thursday, January 30th, 2014 in his 78th year. Beloved husband in their 50th year of marriage to Barb. Loving father of Valerie (Chris) Whitehead, Liz (Hugo) Rivet, Melanie (Jason) Delage. Cherished grandpa of Brett and Sammi Whitehead, Jacob and Anneli Rivet and Alex and Lauren Delage. Dear brother of Paul and twin brother of John. Robert will be sadly missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Jim. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Robert are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Barb, Val, Liz, Mel and families, We were so sad to hear about Bobs passing. I remember the funny Mr. Patterson from McFarlane rd who used to tease us. I also have fond memories of him singing when I used to come over and play. He was such a kind and gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him. I am so sorry to hear about Bob. I have so many wonderful memories of "Uncle Bob and Aunt Barb's" house from when I was a child. So many New Year's days spent there. He was such a sweet man. Barb and Family, we were saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We have many memories of sharing fun times dating as far back as 1955 while at AECL.
