Robert (Rob) Barclay Livingstone, QC

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Barclay Livingstone on January 14, 2026, in his 82nd year of life.
Rob was born and raised in St. Thomas, Ontario. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Lynne (née McDonald). He was a much-loved father of Jason (Stephanie) of London, Ontario, Jeff (Michelle) of Stouffville, Ontario, and Ryan (Shannon) of Dwight, Ontario. He was also a loving grandfather to Ariella and Karina; Ashlee, Wyatt and Clara; Henry and bonus grandchild Dylan. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Susan) of Kitchener, Ontario and their sons Michael (Huda) and John.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Frank and Jean (née McKeown) Livingstone and his sisters Frances Livingstone and Mary Kay Livingstone.
An accomplished and respected lawyer in London, Rob graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in 1965 and earned his LLB in 1968. He was called to the Bar in 1969 and was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Council in 1984. He retired from law in March 2017.
Rob loved spending time at his cottage on Lake of Bays in Muskoka, where he thoroughly enjoyed boating, fishing, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed many years at the Delaware Skeet Club, organizing and participating in many shooting competitions.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Whynot and the second-floor staff at Kensington Village for their exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, we would be grateful for donations to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.
A visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a private family funeral service.

Dear Lynne and family, I'm very sorry to hear about Rob and am thinking of you all. I have a lot of fond memories of him, Rich, Frances and Mary Kay at Sunday lunches with Aunt Jean and Uncle Frank. He was always so kind and patient with his younger cousins. Love Maggie
