My condolences to the family. I worked for your mom and dad when they owned Kiev Kabob in the Cornwall Centre in Regina. They were great to work for. Again my sincere condolences to all of Rosalie’s family.
Dear Debbie, Donna and families, We are sorry to hear about aunty Rosie’s passing. We have many fond memories of aunty Rose, her culinary skills in the kitchen, the many visits to “Rosalie’s Diner” after church, her generousity, her warm personality and her joyful laughter. We always felt close to them when they lived in Regina. Our deepest sympathy on losing your dear mom and baba. May the love and memories that you shared be forever in your hearts. May her soul rest in peace and may God comfort you at this time of sorrow. Вічная Пам'ять! Memory Eternal!
Rosalie was the only grandmother I had the privilege of having in my life, and my last surviving grandparents. As a child visits to and from John and Rose were always special moment, and carried with them special signifiers; I deeply remember the smell of their apartment, having bacon every morning, the taste of the artificial sweetener in the special tea that they made. Many everyday moments were made extraordinary im their presence. When John passed away a few years we were worried that our time with Rose, or Baba as she was known to me, would be extremely short. They were married for so long that we couldn't imagine life where they weren't together. Baba managed to life another 4 years the only way she knew how: extremely independently. She was meticulous and specific im what she wanted and always made it known. She was never one to shy away from criticism and loved unconditionally all at the same time. Although we have always lived on opposite sides of North America, she has always been there for me for a chat or to lend an ear or give advice. I will miss her deeply.
