BROEMLING, Rosemary (Rosi)
December 29, 1942 – February 10, 2014
It is with great sorrow Rosemary’s family and friends announce her sudden passing on February 10th, 2014 in London, Ontario, at age 71. Rosi is survived by and fondly remembered by four sisters, five brothers and their spouses: Al (Frederika Lensink), Cliff (Lora Anderson), Bill (Karen Lohner), Randy (Kamalah Suppiah), Joanne (Denis Paquette), David (Naomi Ball), Dianne (Wayne Winter), Donna (Neil Broemeling) and Marianne (Bob Furman). As well, Rosi is mourned by an extensive family of nieces and nephews and their families, along with a close circle of friends in the London area. All of us mourn this loss while carrying Rosi’s spirit in our hearts. Rosi was predeceased by her life partner Elaine Robertson and by her parents, Ray and Hattie Broemeling. Raised near Daysland, Alberta, Rosi had a nursing career before settling in London, Ontario in 1968. She worked for Family Consultant Services with the London Ontario Police Force until her retirement. As a caregiver, she put her strength and energy into nurturing the people and world around her. Rosemary especially loved her time at the Benchview cottage. A celebration of Rosi’s life led by Rev. Sylvia Brightwell will be held at Christ Anglican Church, 138 Wellington Street, London, on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. There will also be a celebration of Rosi Broemling’s life at Crestwood Presbyterian Church, 14304 96 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. As an alternative to flowers, which she truly loved, donations in her memory can be directed to Rosi’s favorite charity, the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) or a charity of your choice.

To the friends and family of Rosemary, I'm so sorry for your loss. Rosemary was very special to me and my family, especially my mum Marian and father Alan, when we lived in London. Rosemary was a mentor for me. I used to house-sit and care for her plants and cat while she was on holiday. Elaine too was an important part of my life. The two of them were 'family' for me. They were apart of every important celebration where Pat Binns and Elaine would be the life of the party! These are wonderful memories! God Bless you always, Reverend Jennifer Mountain
To Rosemary's family and friends: We are saddened to hear of Rosi's sudden passing. We got to know Rosi this past summer at the cottage. She enjoyed checking out the improvments I made to our place and also enjoyed seeing my daughters running around and playing, she always kept them in mind when she came across some extra toys, etc. She was a kind soul and will be missed and fondly remembered. Our sincere condolences, Dirk Vandenberg & Family (Neighbours directly north of Benchview cottage)
My deepest sympathy to all of the family of Rosemary. She was a delightful person to know. May the memories that you have of her sustain you during this difficult time. Bernice
Rosemary always had a smile and wave for me when I saw her at the lake. She was always carefully tending her gardens. I didn't know her well but she appreciated the quiet and beauty of the lakefront, something we shared. I hope that her family and friends take comfort in your fond remembrances of her. Jeff
We were shocked to read about Rosemary's passing. I,Doug, have many, many pleasant memories of Rosemary in my classes while teaching at Daysland, as well as while coaching the Darls basketball team. To her family and friends, please accept our most sincere sympathy and condolences on this grievous loss. Sincerely, Doug and Donna.(Camrose, Ab.)
What to say??? What to do?? Hope the precious memories of Rosi will be a comfort to you always and may it help to know that many thoughts are with you all. I will surely miss our "phone visits"
I was so sadden to hear of Rosemary's sudden passing. Rosemary and Elaine were next door neighbours to my parents Gail and Eileen Browning on Lake Huron. I remember Rosemarys love for the lake and her flowers. She always seemed so happy with life and to lived each day to its fullest. My condolences to the entire family.
Dear Donna, Neil, & family, My deepest sympathy to you in the death of your sister. I hope you have many happy memories of her to fill your heart and help it heal. Sincerely, Barb
