Peacefully, with family by her side, at University Hospital, on Saturday, January 12, 2019, in her 87th year. Beloved and devoted wife of Friederich “Fred” for 66 years. Loving and devoted mother of Rosemary (Dan) and the late Irene. Cherished grandmother of Andrew. Dear sister of Elisabeth (the late John), Ernie (Katie), Karl (Trudy), Richard (June) and Margaret (John). Also missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Susanna; and her sister, Katharina (Ludwig). Rose lived through good times and bad, all the while supported by her deep faith in her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and by her dear family and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Oakland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Rose are asked to consider Friends of the Orphans Canada, Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice.

To Fred, Rosemary, Dan and family, Nancy and I are both saddened for your loss. As you well know, Fred and Rose were amongst our first neighbours when we moved into this condo near twenty years ago and they have been wonderful friends and neighbours always. Things will never be the same around here without Rose's warm smile. We share your pain and will miss her terribly. If we can do anything for the family, please ask. Yes, Nancy and I will make a charitable donation in memory of Rose.
