Passed peacefully at Parkwood Institute, on Sunday, December 9, 2018, in his 94th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marg (2002). Loving father of Debra Baird (late Ron). Proud Papa of Justin (Natalie), Jamieson, Jade and Joseph; and great-Papa of Elijah, Lincoln and Peyton. Fondly remembered by Florence Baird. Predeceased by brothers: Jerry, Clarence and Wes. Ross was a past president and life member of the Lambeth Legion Branch 501, a past zone commander, member of the Poppy Fund Foundation, and founder of the Lambeth Air Cadets. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., with a Legion service under the auspices of Lambeth Legion 501 held at 6:45 p.m., at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where Ross’ life will be celebrated on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ross are asked to consider the Parkwood Institute – Veterans Care.

My deepest sympathies. Ross was a very kind man who cared for his community - his loss is felt by so many of us at Parkwood who were privileged to know him for years.
Sorry for your loss, Ross was a great man who touched the hearts of many that met him. As an average Bingo player Ross won his share of the wealth, he will be missed in the halls or events at Parkwood. As long as we live, Ross too shall live, for he is a part of us, as we remember Him. Rest in Peace my friend.
Dear Debra and family;My mom and I would truly like to express our sincere condolences to your family members on a true humanitarian and citizen of our community of London,Ontario,zlso as a true ambassador for the Lambeth legion branch 501 and all the veteran population I was truly honoured and priviledged to serve for 31 years as the gentleman on the main desk at Parkwood institute from January 2,1985- March 16,2017 with always a smile on my face learning about the life of so many of our Canadian war veterans who our organization continues to serve so well along wirh all the ordinary citizens of our great country of Canada abd beyond is borders through our truly extensive rehabilitation,therapy and mumerous other award winning prigrams at this facility with the very mucleus of a superbly trained staff members in their varoious disiplines and wealth of superior knowledge I must say,may God lead you and your family members ahead to brighter futures in all your perspective career aspirations and personal challeges for each and every one of you from this point gorward to a brighter tomorrow okay.yours Sincerely Brian and Mary Cross London,Ontario.
Debra: I will miss your dad immensely. Your parents were great people. Ross not only encouraged me to run for Branch President but mentored me along my route. He also pushed me into becoming Zone Commander and to take over as representative to the Boys and Girls Club. Mike remembers Ross helping you cater the Xmas dinner for the Crest for many years. I will remember Ross with love and admiration especially considering his passing is just days after Mike's. My thoughts and blessings are with you at this time. Deb, It was such a pleasure getting to know and work so closely with your dad over his time at Parkwood. I will fondly remember our trips to Lake Joe together, the laughs we shared and all of the walks we took together each morning. He was always the first to ask how your day was going, and very rarely missed a Physio appt. Sending thoughts to you during this difficult time. But just know the impact he had on the lives of so many. Thinking of you. May he rest in peace.
My sincerest condolences to the family of Ross. I met Ross this year at Parkwood. He dined with my father, Fred MacDonald. I enjoyed talking to Ross about his life at the trailer, the Legion, his trips to Lake Joseph and his favourite topic - his family. He was an awesome Bingo player, always showing up early with his "special" cards in hand. You will be missed Ross. Rest in peace.

I hope that all of the beautiful memories you have of your father provide you with comfort and peace. Thoughts and prayers for your entire family.
Debra, I'm so sorry for lost. Your father was an amazing person, Uncle, and Godfather. I have wonderful memories of spending Christmas with you and your family and a miss those special moments.
