I too am sorry to have heard of Roy's passing. My thoughts are with you Nita and with Scott and David. Our parents had a special place for young families in our home as we grew up and I remember Roy and Nita arriving as young parents from down home. Roy was always a great friend to our family. Helen wrote this evening and talked of the service of celebration today. A life well-lived.

On behalf of Marie and I,along with my brothers and sisters, we are saddened to learn of Roy's passing. I recall many interesting visits over the years at home. Since we moved west we always made sure we stopped in for tea and a visit. Roy contributed to the world as a member of the RCAF and to his family and community. He will be missed to all who knew him. Our best wishes to you Nita and your family. We will be there to see you in early June.

Sending caring thoughts to you, Scott, and your family. Not having had the pleasure of knowing your Father, and by all accounts he sounded like a fine and kind man who made a great difference to those who did know him, we have witnessed these very qualities in his son and appreciate and mourn the loss of him. We will be singing for you.

I was extremely saddened to hear of Roy's passing and please accept my concolences. I met Roy in the mid-seventies as a member of the Buchan House. He was fondly referred to as "Boyer the lawyer". When the Buchan House closed down in '94 I would see him on occasion at the Byron Legion playing cards with fellow Buchan House member, Les Davison. He will be missed.
