Surrounded by love at home with his family by his side in his 84th year on Saturday, March 8th, 2014. Beloved husband of Ruth for 55 years. Cherished father of David and Valerie. Loving grandpa to Vanessa and Saraphina. Special uncle to Sheila and Larry Kinnear. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, March 14th, 2014 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. where the memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. To follow, please accept our invitation to join the family for a luncheon to reflect and share memories of Roy. Our condolences to Ruth and family. I worked with Roy at BMO London, 1966-1968 . He was a most positive person who did his job with a great deal of enthusiasm. We worked out together at the YMCA twice a week competing in sit-ups. As a fitness enthusiast,he always won. He had a great sense of humour ,was well read, and always keen to have a good conversation. God be with you, Roy
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ruth, David and Valerie. We have many pleasant memories of Roy as Diane and I were growing up in Glen Cairn. You will be deeply missed.
I remember Roy from our days together in the First Hussars. His tall, lanky and very English presence was hard to miss. We occasionally met on the street from time to time as he was performing his bank duties. Always good for a chat. Sorry he has left us. Cpl. N W Corrie
