Dear Margaret: I have so many beautiful memories of Roy and you over the past 50 years or so. Words cannot express how much I appreciate his friendship, candour and humour over these many years. I will carry the beautiful memories of the kind, thoughtful and caring man that he was to the end of my days. I send love and comfort to you now and always my friend and may the good Lord bring you peace despite your loss.

Margaret, we extend our deep and heartfelt sympathies. May you find comfort and strength in the memories you shared with Roy, and may these loving memories heal your pain.

We have so many lovely and happy memories of time spent with Uncle Roy. Memories of a trip to Margate and spending money on the slot machines, special times in Canada with bbqs, golf and ice creams. Being introduced to Tim Horton's! Finding out I was pregnant with Joel whilst there and Roy and Margaret being the first to know! Roy, you were an uncle in a million. You loved us so much and we loved you in return. Thank you for so many special memories - we will never forget you. Margaret, our thoughts and prayers are with you. I am the older brother and a little surprised that Roy has gone to be with Jesus before me. I have enjoyed many holidays in Canada with Roy and Margaret and have much appreciated their amazing hospitality and generosity. My stomach still yearns for barbecued steaks accompanied by corn soaked in butter and smothered in pepper. My complaints Roy, are that you only allowed me a rare victory at golf and you kept the red wine in the fridge!! I do pray Margaret that you will find comfort from the many happy memories of your life with Roy and God will uphold you in times of sadness. With love Geoff

Roy was a much loved brother and brother in law. We have many happy memories of shared holidays and time together. Our three children were very fond of Roy and loved him dearly. He was kind sensitive and generous. The children especially loved playing Roy's board game which he invented. Happy day's happy memories. So sorry to lose him. Although miles apart we were so close in spirit. With all our love to Margaret who's love and care for Roy was incalculable. God bless, Bryan and Iris

Margaret, I am very sorry to hear of Roy's passing. As you know Roy and I worked together for many years at Western. We enjoyed each others company especially when we were in hockey pools or investing in the stocks. He convinced me at times to get into the pennies which he just loved. Despite his calm and quiet personality he had a great sense of humor. Even though I hadn't seen him in many years I often thought of him. RIP old buddy!

I first met Roy back in 1966 when we both worked for the same firm. He was a hard working, easy going fellow with a good sense of humour and I hope that he didn't suffer much in his final few weeks. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, family and friends.

Margaret, you are in our thoughts at this very very sad time. Roy was a lovely man and over the years, at Dave & Lodja's, we had some really good times, especially remembering our laughs around the bonfire and our Christmas get-togethers. He will be sadly missed. Hugs....

Roy and I worked at UWO for many years. During our lunch break, we enjoyed getting together to play snooker. After we both retired from the university we continued our snooker rivalry for a few years. We convey our heartfelt sympathy to Margaret. George & Elaine Allen
