Our deepest condolences to Fred, Andrea and Aaron and all the extended family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have many fond memories of Ruth when we visited her home as a teenager. She was loving, caring and ever so sweet. She will be missed by many. May God give you peace at this difficult time knowing she is resting in Him. All our Love, Nicole & Paul Zakharia and Peter and Laurel Firth
My prayers are with you during this time, Fred. I was so happy to know that when I began attending Summerside, that you both already knew my parents. They speak so highly of you and Ruth. Your warm smiles always brightened my Sunday mornings. Fred, you are an inspiration to all men, I'm sure, on how to be so lovely and compassionate with one's spouse. I'm so sorry for this difficult time, but how wonderful that Ruth is now with Jesus.
It was always uplifting to meet Ruth. She blessed many lives with her wonderful smile. Ruth was a wonderful Christian lady. Fred , God blessed you with a wonderful gift and that was Ruth. Cherish every good time you had together.
Grant Ruth rest eternal, O Lord and let your light perpetual shine upon her. We pray for the repose of her soul. Aaron, Andrea and Fred - Penny and I send our sincere condolences. May God bless you and keep you, always.
My family is relatively new to Summerside Church and I never formally met Ruth... But one Sunday in particular I remember leaving church and watching her being assisted into her van ... and the smile on her face instantly brightened my day and resonates with me even to this day!! (Reading comments from others, I see I was not the only one!) I wanted to thank her for making my day but never had the courage to do so.... So sorry for your loss.
Our deepest sympathy to Fred, Aaron, Andrea and grandchildren. Ruth's light will continue to shine through her family and through the joy that she brought to so many others through her musical talent.
Dear Fred, Andrea, and Aaron and to Ruth's extended family. I am so sorry for your loss. Ruth was such a dear friend during my younger years in London and she was never far from my thought when I moved away. We were in one another's weddings, went to London Teacher's College at the same time, and enjoyed so many fun times together. She suffered so graciously for so long and now she experiences no pain and for that I am joyful, but she will be so deeply missed. My love and prayers will be with you over the difficult days ahead. Janice
We wish to extend our deepest sympathy in the passing of a wonderful lady. Ruth's beautiful smile will always be remembered by those who knew her, despite her long struggle with Parkinson's. We are praying for you Fred and all your family in this time of great sadness. Blanche & Hugh Davis
Fred, it was always so beautiful watching how you lovingly cared for Ruth. She will be greatly missed, but we can smile knowing that she is rejoicing in the presence of her Saviour. Isaac was always so fond of Ruth (fond both of you) and will miss her.
Fred and family, Ruth was a blessing to all she met. An example of faith in action, tackling adversity without bitterness, and loving concern for others even when under stresses we could never understand. Your marriage with support, unconditional love and mutual respect set an example for all who knew you both of a Christ centered marriage. Soft spoken and self effacing she didn't realize the example she provided of relying on Christ Jesus for everything day to day and the faith of which I only wish I could emulate. Her loss is beyond measure and I can only say that although our blessing of her presence has ended I take comfort and hope you will that her biggest blessing of being at peace and with the Lord has begun. May our Lord be with you and your family and friends and His peace be abounding with you. Denise
I knew Ruth from the monthly Parkinson's meetings where I brought my mother-in-law Thelma Halstead. Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a beautiful woman. May she now rest is peace. Lesia Halstead

We are very sorry to hear the loss of wonderful lady. I had the occasion to visit with Ruth and she was always glad to see you. I know several times we would visit she would be in extreme pain and never let on. We are glad you were able to celebrate your 50th Anniversary recently. We know that your love for each other was very strong and your care for her the past several years goes without saying the best that you could have done. The Lord has taken another Angel home. God Bless you Fred and the Family
