Sandra Louise Alfred

May 18, 1958 - February 11, 2026

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others” – Mandy Hale

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Louise Alfred, born May 18th 1958, of London, Ontario. Sandra passed away peacefully and unexpectedly, surrounded by love, on Wednesday February 11th, 2026.

Sandra was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Survived by her husband Fred Alfred; children Lisa Alfred and Shannon Alfred; sister Gayle Davidson; brothers John Davidson, James Davidson, and Glen Davidson; grandchildren Haylee, Charlotte, Jack, Maddie, and Felicity; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Donna Louise and James Douglas Davidson, her daughter Jennifer Alfred, and sister-in-law Susan Dorsman.

A lover of all things gardening, and a treasurer of all keepsakes, Sandra lit up every room she entered, and truly made everyone’s lives more beautiful. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, sharing a cup of tea with loved ones, and above all else, treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

To know Sandra was to know unconditional love. She had a quiet way of making people feel safe, seen, and deeply valued. Her home was always open, her kettle was always on, and her heart was always bigger than the moment called for. She celebrated life’s joys with you and carried your burdens as if they were her own. Her presence was a source of comfort, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.

Sandra shared many lifelong friendships that she cherished immensely. From childhood best friends to the new friends she met along the way, she held each relationship close to her heart, through years of memories, luncheons, and many vacations. She valued history with people, never letting time pass without reaching out, remembering the small details, and ensuring those she loved knew they were always on her mind.

A devoted Canada Post employee, Sandra was known for her kindness, sense of humour, dependability, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met through her work. She valued the friendships she formed over the years and brought the same warmth to her workplace that she brought to every part of her life.

Sandra will be remembered for her gentle heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to make others feel cared for in even the smallest ways. Whether through a thoughtful gesture, a listening ear, or a lovingly tended garden, she brought comfort and beauty into the lives of those around her.

Her family finds peace in knowing that her love continues to live on in each of them, and that the memories they shared will be cherished forever.

A visitation will be conducted at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., as well as on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a light lunch and celebration to follow. A private family interment will be taking place at a later date.

We will miss Sandra's presence in our group of friends who knew each other from elementary school and reconnected several years ago to enjoy getting away together for heartfelt conversations, many laughs and great meals together. Sandra always spoke with love about her children, grandchildren, brothers and sister. I will miss Sandra very much during our future friend group gatherings.

Sandy was always the one laughing at LFP. She talked about her family with so much love. I’m saddened she was taken far too early. I am pleased we re-connected on several occasions the last few years.
