Scott Jay Edwards

July 22, 2015

January 6, 1959 – July 22, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a wonderful father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. In his 57th year, Scott lost his long battle with Leukemia and kidney disease. His positive attitude and quick wit will live on through his wife Teresa (née Chiurko), son Chris and daughter Jody, and their spouses Jordanne and Martin. Scott had many cherished moments with his “buddies”- grandsons Benjamin and Lincoln. He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Walter, Don, Alan, Cherie, Terry, Robin, Carmen, Dena and sister-in-law Shirley and their families. Scott was predeceased by his brother Brian, mother Isabelle and father Leslie. Scott loved his family above all else. He was passionate about his 25-year career at CPRI. Scott enjoyed time spent gardening, fishing, reading the newspaper, and cheering for the Leafs and Jays. Special thanks to the Home Hemo Dialysis team and the London Regional Cancer Program staff. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Siloam Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or the London Regional Cancer Program.

I worked with Scott many years ago at CPRI. He was always a lot of fun due to his quick wit. My husband and I have thought about him over the years and wondered how he was doing. He had such a calm and gentle presence. I was saddened to see that he had passed away. He was a remarkable man. I will keep your family in my prayers. Mary van Strien

Scott was my supervisor at CPRI. He was a strong presence and kind mentor. After being in the filed for 15 years, he reamins one of my most loved supervisors due to his easy going way that still brought about high expectations and the best in people. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing and my thoughts go out to his family during this time of loss.
